Faith United Methodist Church

 WELCOME

We have in-person worship Sundays at 10 am

As we come back together to worship in the sanctuary, we will have to change some of the ways we worship in-person at Faith. We will also provide a worship opportunity online at a later time for those who do not feel comfortable coming to the church building for worship.

We have developed guidelines using the CDC, EPA, and SC United Methodist Conference recommendations. While it will be different for us to worship this way, please be respectful of each other and keep the church a safe place for all who enter.

Before entering the church building for worship:

  • We have disinfected everything in the church getting ready for this day!

  • We encourage each person who is not vaccinated to wear a face covering unless under the age of 2 years. This is not mandatory but encouraged. Masks will be available if you do not have one.

  • Everyone will sanitize their hands using a sanitizer approved by the CDC before or immediately upon entering the building. We will have hand sanitizing stations as you enter the lobby and in the sanctuary. Please do not congregate at one station if one is crowded use the ones in other locations.

  • Rub the sanitizer all over your hands and let them air dry – no wiping it off.

  • Remember to stay 6 ft apart from others unless you are with people who live with you.

  • Greet each other without touching, using words and a friendly hand gesture instead of a hug or handshake.

On entering the church:

  • We will enter using the front entrance with the door open to allow all to enter 6ft apart.

  • Please stay 6 ft apart from others who are not in your household. All chairs have been placed 6 ft apart and may be added/moved closer for family units to sit together. Please check with ushers before moving any chairs. No additional chairs can be added unless they can be placed 6 ft apart from others not in your family.

  • Ushers will escort you to your seat and seating will be done from the altar to the back of the church. We know this may not be where you prefer to sit but it avoids people being too close together as we are seated

  • You may want to continue to provide your offering via online or mail, however we will have a place for you to give to the church during the worship service.

  • Please take time to fellowship outside the building but away from the exit door and follow the 6ft apart from each other guideline.

  • We will not have gathering of small groups for bible study or Sunday School in the building. These meetings will be done virtually.

A few more things to know....

  • Restrooms are small so please limit people inside to 2 people unless you are from the same household, please honor this limitation for your safety.

  • We will not have a coffee station or goodies available as it requires sharing of items and is discouraged at this time.

  • We now have a nursery available, your children are also welcome in the church service. We love having children with us.

  • Please do not allow your children to use the nursery unattended.
